Working closely with parents/ carers and schools
We work closely with parents/ carers, and the student's host school, to make sure we make a positive difference in the lives of all of our students. A couple of our basic rules to help with the learning environment is:
Students are not allowed mobile phones on site
All students are required to wear the Pledge2learn uniform (see below)
If a student is attending on a short term from their host school they may simply wear their school uniform.
ALL students and staff wear uniform
We want to avoid the pressure that some young people feel around their peers when they haven't got the latest fashions.
Our uniform consists of a polo shirt and a fleece with our logo on. Students can then chose to wear their own practical bottoms such as jeans or joggers, and also practical footwear such as trainers (NO sliders).
Listening to our students
Some students have fed back to us that the polo and the fleece feels uncomfortable. We listened and have made available from September 2023 a t-shirt and a hoodie that are both branded with the Pledge2Learn logo.
Uniform costs are subsidised and can be ordered from Pledge2Learn.
