British Values

The Department for Education (DfE) has outlined the duty that all schools have to ‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These values were first set out by the government in the ‘Prevent’ strategy in 2011 (Guidance on promoting British values in schools published)

At Pledge2Learn, these values are carefully promoted through our curriculum, and are woven into the ethos of our school. We have a developmental approach that enables children to develop their understanding of these values throughout their time at our school in order that they become responsible citizens.
