At Pledge2Learn, we believe that every student deserves to feel settled, supported, and safe. We understand that for children with SEND, communicating a worry isn't always easy. Because of this, we make it our priority to know our students well, so we can notice the small changes that matter.
A Trusted Team: Every adult working with our students undergoes an Enhanced DBS and Children’s Barred List check, along with other safer recruitment checks, before they join us. We only recruit people who share our commitment to student welfare.
Specialised Knowledge: Safeguarding isn't a one-time conversation for us. Our staff take part in regular, ongoing training specifically focused on identifying distress or risks in children with additional needs and communication barriers.
A Collaborative Approach: We don't work in isolation. We maintain active, transparent relationships with families, local authorities, and health professionals to ensure our students are supported both inside and outside of school.
If you are worried about a child’s safety—whether it involves potential harm, neglect, or exploitation—it is vital to act. Please reach out to our safeguarding team immediately or contact local children’s social care.
If You Have a Concern If you are concerned that a child is being abused, at risk of harm, or at risk of criminal or sexual exploitation, action must be taken immediately.
Note: If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please dial 999 and ask for the Police.
