Nick Chappel, MA, BA (Hons), QTS

TEACHER

Nick has had a career in secondary education for over 35 years. For his undergraduate degree Nick studied History at the University of Bangor in Wales, before completing his PGCE and then masters degree in Education at the University of Hull. Initially, Nick worked at Healing School in Grimsby as a History teacher, later becoming the Head of Department and then progressing to become the Head of the Humanities Faculty. Nick has also taught Religious Studies and PSHE. Nick has spent his teaching career developing an ability to communicate effectively with the children he teaches and to make learning an enjoyable experience.

Nick’s main interest outside of education is sport. He is passionate about cricket but also enjoys music - Nick’s tastes are eclectic, mostly restricted to the 1980s but also include the works of the Beatles.
