Elisa

TEACHING ASSISTANT

Elisa was born in and has lived most of her adult life in El Salvador. Whilst there, Elisa studied until she was 18 years old and passed her High School Diploma. Elisa then went on to study and complete a Certificate in Commercial Fundamentals as part of an undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University Idaho. Elisa and her husband emigrated to the United Kingdom 4 years ago. Having a desire to work in education, Elisa attended Hull College and completed an NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.  Since then Elisa has continued to undertake continuous professional development in critical safeguarding areas such as advanced child protection; domestic abuse and the impact on children & young people,  and understanding child neglect.  

Elisa is a fluent English speaker, having spent her early childhood in the USA. Elisa enjoys playing basketball and most other sports which she finds is a good way to build relationships with young people and to help them build their confidence and teamwork skills.
