Holly Dickinson, BA (Hons), QTS

LEAD TEACHER

Holly has worked in secondary education as a PE teacher for 16 years having graduated from John Moores University in Liverpool. Holly initially worked at Wolfreton School in East Riding as a PE teacher - teaching both practical sports as well as GCSE, BTEC Level 2 and 3, and A level theory. Holly later took on the role of Head of House, which allowed me to develop relationships with young people, not only as a teacher but also working as a pastoral leader. After 8 years at Wolfreton, Holly moved to Healing School in Grimsby where she taught all aspects of PE as well as BTEC Health and Social Care.

Throughout her career, Holly has taught all aspects of PSHCE at KS3 and KS4 and this, along with her core subjects, has allowed her to develop her teaching skills further within a classroom format. Holly is passionate about engaging children in their learning to fulfil their potential as well as developing young people’s life skills, such as teamwork and cooperation. Working at Pledge2Learn gives Holly the opportunity to do this with children who may struggle in mainstream education. When Holly is not teaching, she loves to play netball in her local league and enjoys watching baseball.
