Learning about photography

Students at Pledge2Learn have been learning about film and digital photography today.

We checked out some early film and digital cameras.

We identified and wrote up about the various parts of a camera and what they do.

Moving & Motivated sessions in-schools

As we finished the Autumn term sessions with groups of male students in one of the local secondary schools this was some of the feedback we received:

Safe spaces to learn

Young people who have previously found it difficult to access education have been able to build new found confidence in their personal learning journey through our safe learning spaces.

Remembrance Day

Students at Pledge2Learn have been learning about #RemembranceDay.

In English they researched war time newspaper articles and learned about challenges people faced and some of the sacrifices they were called on to make. They also wrote their own war time diary entry.

In Cooking they baked biscuits and decorated them with an icing poppy.

Halloween crafts

Students at Pledge2Learn have been working hard on their Halloween crafts display, which is still in progress.

You will notice some of their clay work has now been beautifully painted and sealed.

Learning to cook good food

In life we learn that for success we often have to follow a plan. A great way to learn how following a plan can help us be successful is in the kitchen. This slide show is of the work os one of our student's who did a great job in the kitchen by following a plan to successfully make a dinner to take home to share with his family.

Art and Pablo Picasso's Cubism

Clay work this week has continued with Pablo Picasso's Cubism. We think the students have done really well with their #Art sessions this half term.

Well done to all who took part in our Wellbeing Project about Empathy and Emotional Wellbeing.

The two winning pieces of work win a shopping voucher which is on its way to the students who completed these pieces of work. Well Done!

Our students got involved in the EUROs where they designed a ball and made it out of paper mache.

This student won the competition and got a brand new football.
