Patrick Lappin, MA

Patrick has a wealth of experience working with children and families of all ages within the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors.  Patrick is an experienced Manager and Leader having led and managed multiple services including as a Connexions Team Manager; Operational Manager of the Youth Offending Service Case Management and Youth Court Team; Team Leader for the Children and Family Support Services; and Children's Centre Cluster Manager for North Lincolnshire Council.  Through all of this work Patrick has gained a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience that are beneficial to the work of Pledge2Learn.

Patrick is a qualified Youth & Community Worker with over 30 years experience of working with children, young people and their families and establishing and working with community groups.  He has a Masters Degree in Leadership, specialising in Coaching, and is a trained Advanced Practitioner in child sexual exploitation.  Patrick has specialised in coaching for wellbeing and mental health and has undertaken extensive training in the field of mental health.

This wide and extensive range of experience led Patrick to set up Advanced Practice Solutions (2017) providing targeted interventions for children in schools and also training for staff.  In January 2020 Patrick launched Pledge2Learn, which is a nurture provision for children who find it difficult to access mainstream education.
